Audrey's 8 months...
Well, really almost 8 1/2 months. I can hardly
believe how fast she's grown (and that it's
almost time for the holidays)! Audrey has
always enjoyed a good meal...but since introducing
pureed solids she has amazed me! This little
girl LOVES to eat! I make all her baby food
and try to give her what's in season. Peaches are
hands down her most favorite over anything. She
will usually eat sweet potatoes, pears, apples, mangos
watermelon and green beans very well. Sweet peas - not
so much. We just started cereal to help boost
her iron...she really likes that also.
I think she's around 13 1/2 lbs now!

She has achieved a few new milestones...
She doesn't like to be on her belly at all...but is constantly
rolling over to get toys. She is really great at shimmying
herself around the blanket...crawling, I am sure, is soon.
She sits up now also...Audrey is in love with
Caleb and is always trying to watch him and
get closer to see what he's doing. He can make
her laugh like nobody else can!
(she looks really sad here...I think it was
almost nap time)

She really likes to sing and talk - it's more of
a yell. This is pretty much constant while she's awake.
She is a very good sleeper and loves to nap. Generally,
Audrey will sleep for 10 or more hours before waking
for a feeding...she's so sweet :)

So, after much thought, we've decided to start
cloth diapering! I know, it sounds like a lot of work
and what really are you saving? Truly, it has not been
much work at all, in fact, it is really easy and washing
the diapers becomes second nature after a few times.
In order to start, we did need to spend quite a bit...
but over the span of my diapering career (just for Audrey)
we will be saving around $1500! I can think of plenty to
spend that on instead of diapers ;)
Other than the cost...they are super cute, we have
less trash (and my trash can isn't stinky!) and
I am sure Mother Earth will thank us for it :)
