Road Trip Day #3...
We stayed the night in Tracy, California. A few hours after
we left in the morning, we came across this lake. There was
a museum type place inside the visitor's center that had a
bunch of displays explaining the water usage in California (and
around the US) and it's effect on life. They had some really
cool facts and things to look at. Pyramid Lake (pictured below)
is a water conservation area.

Later that day we arrived in Chino, CA at my Uncle Graham,
Aunt Exie and cousin Stephanie's home...we stayed with them
for one night. It was great to catch up with family and
have them meet Caleb. The next morning,
my Aunt Suzie and Uncle Eric came by...we were able to visit
for a while before heading out to my grandparents' home
in Tonopah, AZ. Aunt Exie and Aunt Suzie
went with us...it was a fun trip!
Road Trip Day #4...
parents' home. They only live about an hour away from
my grandparents - so it was nice to stop and see both.
We stayed with Justin's family for a few days. His brother
and family live in the area as well...so we were able to
see a lot of family in a short amount of time!
We went to a little park in the downtown area of where they
live...it was a little warm that day so we played in the water
fountains!

a good time!
Road Trip Day #6...
There really weren't too many great picture opportunities
while in NM...this is Caleb enjoying the fountain at a rest stop
in his jammies : )
I think these were the most interesting plants I saw the
whole trip! Not quite sure what the tall thing is
poking out the top...
This was most of our view while driving through Texas.
Not too exciting...there were a few pretty scenes here
and there. We stopped in Odessa, TX the 6th night
and Tyler, TX the 7th night.
Road Trip Day #8
O, Louisiana...where all of the sudden one of the panels
on the top of the truck decided to come loose and
flap in the wind! The wind was blowing so hard that I guess
the panel and clips holding it in place just broke. It was sooooo
loud...after about 2 hours we couldn't take it anymore.
a million honda dealerships and none had the clips
that were needed to fix it without having to stay somewhere
random for an extra night. We decided to keep on going
with the beautiful tape until we got to my parents' home
and would fix it there.
Meanwhile in the car, Caleb was having a diaper
party! He opened a package of diapers and threw them
everywhere...there were a few on his head at one point : )
For some reason, I missed the Mississippi sign : (

3500 miles and this baby did soooo well...I didn't even
know he was in the back seat he did so well! He cried once
or twice because he couldn't reach a toy or something else very
important to him : ) He was sleeping when we started the
trip and asleep when it ended...please note the
Goldfish pretzel on his neck : )
It was nice to finally relax, knowing our final destination
was only 4 hours away. We had planned to stay with my
parents for a few days and then start taking a look at homes.
Our truck was fixed while in Birmingham - thank the Lord...
it was still under warranty.
Thank you everyone that allowed us to visit and stay
at your home while we were traveling!
