Our Baby Girl...
Miss Audrey Reese Havrilla was born
this morning, December 19th 2010 at 8:14am. Yes,
she is absolutely too early! Little stinker!
I was 31 weeks pregnant when she decided
to join us :) She came very quickly.
Thankfully we were close to a great hospital
with a large NICU and wonderful staff here
in Birmingham (while here visiting my parents).
She is 3lbs 4.6oz and will be living in the NICU
for the next month or so.
Our sweet Caleb came to visit us this morning
with my parents. He has NO clue what's going
on and who Audrey is :( He most likely won't get
to meet her until she's ready to go home in
a month or so. We show him pictures
and he enjoys that...he likes to see babies.
She looks so comfy! They are taking great care
of her.
Considering the circumstances...this has
been a wonderful experience thus far.
We are so thankful for so many things
(my parents caring for Caleb and being so
close, all the prayer from friends and family,
the staff here at the hospital, I could go on)!
God is SO gracious and faithful! I am so
happy to say that there is a complete peace
in our hearts right now in knowing that God's
plan is ALWAYS greater - even when we
don't understand. Audrey is already
such a fighter and is actually impressing
the staff. She's been off oxygen for most
of the day and may start feeds with specialized
formula in the morning (if she behaves tonight).
We still have a long, uncertain road ahead with
her progression - but it looks very promising
and we are believing a mighty God that
she will do well and come home a
healthy, little girl!
I will use this site to post updates on her status.
Please feel free to check back often!
Enjoy your week and God Bless!

Trisha,
I am soooo happy that all is going well, she looks so great! That is amazing she is in an open crib right away! I am definitely keeping all of you in my prayers. I know what a journey nicu life is, and the ups and downs, and impatience (for wanting your family home together). That is also awesome to be in a hospital w/ a great NICU, that will definitely help the waiting game. Good luck to all of you, and may God keep you strong during this experience. love you guys!
oh, and she looks just like you too!!!
have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! God gave you an amazing gift this year, a feisty little fighter who wanted to be here to celebrate this holiday season!
Trisha & Family~
