Moving right along...

Last Thursday was the second time
Justin was able to hold Audrey...needless
to say, Justin really enjoyed it.

Since Thursday,
Audrey has made a lot of progress!  Her
phototherapy, caffeine, IV fluids and PICC
line were all discontinued.  Also, she has
been allowed to take breastmilk again -
and is keeping it down wonderfully!
I have had to take dairy out of my diet
so she could take my milk.  Preemies have
a hard time digesting cow's milk I have
learned.  Sad...I really miss cheese and
milk with my oreos :(  Anything that will
bring her home sooner is fine with me though.

We have been able to hold her a lot more
often now that her PICC line has been removed.
I have really enjoyed the visits this week
because I've been more involved in her care.
Over the past few days I have bathed her,
changed diapers, taken her temperatures
and been able to feed her via bottle while there.
She is on her way to an open crib...which is the
next step before discharge (pending vital signs
and feeds continue to go well).  Audrey's now
4# 4.4oz and LOVES her food!  Hopefully we
will get to try nursing shortly after she moves
to a crib.

 Proud Daddy
 Saturday was grandparent visitation again...
this was the first time my parents
had seen Audrey in our arms :)
Justin loving every second he gets to
hold her...he only gets to see her
on the weekends :(
Audrey the first day after her PICC line
was removed...she looks so free
 Sleeping peacefully...this was last night
after I was able to bathe and feed her
I always have to sneak a picture of
my sweet (almost 2 year old) boy in :)
