One month old...

Sunday morning marked Audrey's

4th week living in the NICU.

On Wednesday, she will be 36

weeks gestation.

Friday, January 14th, Audrey was able

to graduate to an open crib!  All weekend

she has held her temperature very well

(with the help of a lot of blankets).

She is also gaining weight at 

4 lbs 11oz now! 

Audrey's big task now is to

master breathing and eating at 

the same time.  She does pretty well

for the most part - every once 

in a while she forgets to breath while

eating and drops her heart rate and 

oxygenation levels.  Occasionally, she has a small

episode while sleeping.  She is on, what the

NICU calls, an 8 day count down.  Before 

going home, Audrey needs to prove 

herself and not have any drops in her heart 

rate or oxygen saturation for 8 days

straight.  She needs a little practice still :)

Since I'm not at home and don't have the

computer I usually use, I don't know how 

this program works too well and 

am having a hard time cropping.  So, 

here is Audrey...sideways
